From the sound of adoring fans to the playing of our fight song, the Homecoming game is a night for the Eagles to soar their highest.
The varsity football team will play against the McGregor Bulldogs for their Homecoming game tomorrow starting at 7:30 p.m. During halftime, the 2025 Girls Basketball team will be honored with the Champions Ring Ceremony.
“Our goal is to just keep building on this momentum and go 1-0 each week no matter the opponent,” football player Connor Colvert said. “McGregor is gonna be a quality team but we have had good practice and we are just ready to perform in front of a great fan base.”
Last week, The Eagles demolished the Buffalo Bisons with a score of 63-21. This win brought their overall score up to 4-0.
“I think the biggest shift in our play is simply that we are just more experienced,” coach Tyler Terry said. “ These seniors seem very hungry this year to make this season better than last season which is making the younger guys work even harder.”
Our amazing students are showing their spirit by inviting others to expand the student section. This week, the dress-up theme is “Jersey Out.”
“What inspired Samuel and I to bring back the student section was that these past years our student sections haven’t been that great and I believe and fully trust that we will do our very best to keep doing as much as we can to keep our spirits high for our team,” senior Bella Grecu said. “Being able to cheer for our guys in that type of way brings out the spirit in our school and I believe we need more of that in Fairfield.”
