All ten Grand Band twirlers are headed to State UIL competition in Round Rock Highschool on May 27. The competition will be from 10:00 a.m to around 2:00 p.m.
“I’m excited that we are going to state,” sophomore Ivy Wren said. “This is my first year to make it in both solo and ensemble.”
The twirlers competed at the region level on September 20 at the band hall.
“This is my third year to go to state,” senior Ava Gann said. “I’ve put in a lot of hard work, and I’m excited to show off our work at state.”
Each twirler did a solo and a group performance as part of the competition.
“I’m excited to go back again this year to compete with Ava and Ivy,” sophomore Davie Pickens said. “Going to state is a good opportunity for all the twirlers to get together, hang out, and have fun.”
