The High School Prom commemorates the seniors one last time before they head off into the big world. This year, the juniors planned to go all out with the Midnight Masquerade theme. With their hard work and dedication, the teachers and staff were well impressed.
“We had a great prom committee this year,” said Mrs. Bachtel. “They took ownership of it and helped plan, organize, decorate, and clean up. It is such a big endeavor that you need many people who are willing to get it done, and that’s exactly what we had this year! We also had some amazing parents who helped decorate and provide some extra things that really made it special.”
Students had a blast, dancing and singing with their fellow classmates and friends. They also enjoyed the special Senior Dance and announcements on the best dancer, and Prom King/Queen.
We asked Justin Johnson, a Senior who attended the prom, “Did you enjoy the prom in general?” He responded back with, “I enjoyed the song choice and the Senior Dance. I would rate the prom a solid 9 out of 10 in total.”
The prom planners decided that instead of real foods, they would come up with some finger food – like deserts. They made cookies, cake pops, chocolate drizzled pretzel sticks, a fruit bowl with a sweet cream cheese sauce, and more! With the help of the culinary students and the teacher, they made the food absolutely incredible.
Seniors elected Brooke Cobb as the Prom Queen.
