After several set-backs this year, including the cancellation of the fall production, One Act Play cast and crew will perform “Louder, I Can’t Hear You” in the FHS Auditorium on March 21 for the student body and on March 22 at 6 p.m. for the community. Tickets will be $3 for students and $5 for adults at the door.
This year will mark teacher Rebecca Sanchez’s first year as OAP Director. Mrs. Maciel continues as Assistant Director.
“Well, more than anything I wanted the students to have the opportunity, and I thought it would be fun,” Watson said. “It is a challenge starting late in the game and the competition is so close.”
The cast includes senior Skylar Bonner as Marge, freshman Jordan McDaniel as Ann, senior Newton Hartley as Oscar, freshman Dania Azuara as Junior, sophomore Adalyn Peterson as Nurse and junior Mason Edwards as Dr. Phillips. Alternates include: freshman Anna Allen, freshman Jazlynn Varela and sophomore Ayden Canizales.
“I really enjoy it,” McDaniel said. “It brings new opportunities to be able to build connections and make new memories. I enjoy acting irrationally in my role as Ann, it’s fun!”
The crew includes junior Bailey Holland on sound, freshman Paisley Robinson and sophomore Bella Falkner on lights, and seniors Alyssa Winters and RaeAnne Rossiaky and freshman Braylan McMillian on stage.
“I am excited to see the play performed live and see the audience’s reaction to the comedic parts,” Winters said. “My job backstage is fun until the light people start meowing in my ears through the headset.”
