Ag Mechanics recently sent two teams to competition. At the Blinn College Ag Mech show, the flatbed team received a blue ribbon for quality but did not place in class. The trailer team received a blue ribbon and placed first in class and second in division.

“I’ve been really happy with it,” ag mechanics teacher Clay Sherman said. “I think this season has gone great so far.”

Both teams competed at the Trinity Valley Community College (TVCC) ag mech show.  The flatbed team did not place in class, and the trailer team won Grand Champion with a 36′ cattle trailer. The Grand Champion team included Lillian Poole, Cale Myers, River Bonds, Adan Espinoza, Connor Petty, and Blake Phillips.

“I’m really happy with the quality of projects produced,” Sherman said.

The teams are prepared for the next show on Jun 12, 2023 which is the Freestone County Fair show. The competition will include Freestone 4H, Teague FFA, and Fairfield FFA.
