The boys’ basketball team will head up against the Westwood Panthers tomorrow at the Johnson Activity Center at 7:30.

“We have the expectation every game to compete and play as hard as possible,” said head coach Kris Ballew.

The boys played against the Elkhart Elks this past Tuesday and won with a score of 73 over 47.

“It is exhilarating,” said senior Tucker Moore, “the seniors get to lead and provide a good role model for the upcoming classes.”

So far, the boys have accumulated two wins and two losses this season.

“We know if everyone plays the role with all they have that we will have a chance to win each night,” said Ballew, “The players put in a lot of work each day in practice.”

The team is currently ranking as fourth in their district. The Mexia Blackcats and Franklin Lions are tied with the title of first in district.

“I will miss playing for Fairfield,” said Moore, “but even though I am departing, it will always be my home.”
