The Eagles will play the Teague Lions November 3 to tie for the second seed in 3A District 8 behind Malakoff. Due to severe weather conditions the game has been changed from Friday to Thursday night.

“We’ve had a winning streak going on. We’ve beaten Groesbeck and Kemp,” senior starting running back Braiden Barrett said. “They [Teague] had a really close game against Mexia, which brought up our confidence.”

The Eagles beat Groesbeck, Kemp, and Eustace this season. They lost to the Lions in last year’s “Battle of 84.”

“I’m excited to play some Fairfield football,” sophomore starting center Landon Salinas said. “We have messed up a few times here and there, but we fixed it by halftime.”
