The Varsity Eagle Cross Country team will compete in regional meet at Sam Houston on Tuesday.  After Countless hours of practice and hard dedication to the team, both boys and girls teams qualified at the district meet in Fairfield October 10. Head coach is Tarsha Graves, and assistant is Dani German

“It feels good to be a winner,” sophomore Jerry Draper said. “It also feels good for the boys athletics to finally get a win.”

At the previous meet, the boys ended up scoring 84 points while the girls scored 68 points. Each team placed third in the District meet.

“I’m excited!” assistant coach German said. “This group has worked so hard since this summer and it’s nice to see hard work paying off. Cross country is tough and not many people would get out here and do what these kids do.”

The qualifiers for the Regional meet are freshmen Blayke Brackens, Kaylee Williams, Mason Edwards, Collin Loviet, and Armand Reyes, sophomores Hailey Wall, Zada Pjetrovic, and Jerry Draper, and juniors Madox Mitchel, Lillian McBean, and Mariana Aguilera.
