The Fairfield Eagle baseball team qualified for Bi-District playoffs and received several All-District Awards for their season.

Senior Luke Latham (corner infield) and senior Zack Philips (designated hitter) were named 1st Team All-District.

“I was just going out there having fun with all the guys, we had a really fun year,” Philips said. “Being picked to be with some of the best in the district is truly an honor.”

The following players received 2nd Team All-District Awards: senior Dane Allman (outfield), sophomore Kolby Adams (catcher), freshman Cameron Cockerell (utility) and freshman Rowdy Hand (middle infield).

“I’m happy for my team,”  Allman said. “After battling all that has happened this past year I feel like we made our city proud and it is something to build off of for the next year. If they stay focused through the off-season. I think they will have a better year then this one.”

The following players received District Honorable Mentions – sophomore Rex Bean (Outfield), junior Karson Shipley (Corner Infielder), sophomore Noah Wilson (Outfield).

“As someone who hasn’t played in so long it was an awesome surprise to get honorable mention corner infielder.” Shipley said

Junior Kaden Crawford was named the District Pitcher of the Year.

“I couldn’t have done this without my teammates,” Crawford said “they backed me up every pitch and I knew they had my back no matter the outcome. They pushed me to be my very best. It is an honor to be named Pitcher of the Year but I couldn’t have done it without my teammates!”
