The volleyball teams continued their season August 30 against Robinson here. District will start September 27 at Palestine.

“So far the season is going well,” head volleyball coach Dennis Johnson said. “We have played some good competition and improved as the season has progressed.”

The Lady Eagles, with eight seniors, five juniors, and one sophomore, are captained by senior Braden Bossier.

“Goals for this season are to win as many games as possible,” Johnson said. “Win district and advance as far into the playoffs as possible.”

Senior Braden Bossier runs to spike the ball after junior Kendal Crawford sets it up for her.

The varsity team has won 10 games so far.

“So far this year, the games have been great,” junior Alyssa Whitaker said. “I’m very happy that I get to play with such an amazing team.”

The JV team has won six games so far and the freshman team has won three games so far.

“I’m proud of our team so far,” sophomore Makayla Van said. “I know we’re going to grow even better as the season continues.”
