The annual FCA Victory Bowl is sponsored by FCA. The players are selected by the coaches of their school. The selected seniors will compete in football, baseball, basketball, volleyball, cheer, and softball. This is the 16th Annual Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Victory Bowl.
River Bonds and Jonathan Allen will be playing at The Waco ISD Stadium on June 1 at 10 a.m. for the blue team for football coached by John Bachtel the Athletic director of Fairfield High School.
“I feel very honored and I am happy to be involved with the FCA Victory Bowl,” Bonds said. “It has always been a dream of mine to compete in a FCA Victory Bowl game.”
Rowdy Hand will be playing baseball at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor for the blue team on May 31.
“FCA Victory Bowl is one of the greatest things that has happened to me,” Hand said. “Going to the FCA leadership camp helped me in prove not only as a leader but as a person.”
On Wednesday, May 29 Pierre Algood will be playing basketball at Fairfield High School at 6:30 p.m. for the blue team coached by the head basketball coach of Fairfield High School Donte Wilson.
“It is an honor and a blessing to be selected for the FCA Victory Bowl game,” Algood said. “I’m glad I get to not just represent myself but also represent the school.”
Avery Thaler (a D1 athlete) and Lily Beaver will be playing volleyball at University High School at 3 p.m. on June 1 for the blue team.
“I’m extremely excited to play in the victory bowl,” Thaler said. “I’m even more excited about it because Lily will also be competing and is on the same team as me. We’re ready to represent Fairfield to our best ability.”
On Saturday, June 1 Emma Jo Smith will be Cheering at Waco ISD Stadium during the halftime of the boys football game for the blue team. Emma Jo Smith was also the captain of her team at Fairfield High School for two years straight.”
“I feel honored to be selected for the FCA bowl,” Smith said. “I am super excited that the cheerleaders are involved in almost every sport, and that we are not just there to scream and holler, we’re there to support our teams.”
Kennedy Lane and Madox Mitchael (a D1 athlete) will be playing softball at Mary Hardin-Baylor on May 31 at 6:30 p.m. for the blue team.
“I feel honored to be chosen for the FCA Victory Bowl,” Mitchael said. “I’m excited to experience it.”
