The senior class put together a 70s theme homecoming fundraiser dance for the rest of the student body to enjoy last Saturday.

“The decorations were very pretty,” senior Elizabeth Rath said. “And I enjoyed taking photos with my friends.”

Project Graduation raised about $3,700 after costs were deducted, with $4,600 in ticket sales and $200 in donations from parents. The dance was decorated by students in the morning and parents throughout the rest of the day. Cookies were donated by the senior girls while the water was from the senior boys.

“It is a fantastic fundraiser for Project Graduation,” PEIMS attendance clerk Dena McQuinn said. “We appreciate the donations and parents that helped to make it a success”

The homecoming dance was the second fundraiser for Project Graduation, their first fundraiser evolved the seniors painting their parking spots for the year. They raised $1160 from this fundraiser bringing the total to around $4,860 for the seniors’ party at the end of the year.
