On Sunday of this week, the second season of Demon Slayer, a popular anime at the moment with over six million viewers tuning in to the new episodes every week, will air its final episode. The episode will be 45 minutes long, in contrast to the 23 minutes of all of the other episodes.

Demon Slayer, or Kimetsu no Yaiba, is based on a highly popular manga written by Koyoharu Gotouge, with over 150 million copies in circulation. It follows the adventures of its main character Tanjiro Kamado as he tries to save his sister, Nezuko, amid a brutal war between humans and demons. The first season aired in 2018, and was followed by a movie in 2021. The second season begins with a quick recap of the movie before launching into its own events.

Demon Slayer is a highly recommendable anime, available in both Japanese with English subtitles as well as English dubbed voice acting. There is no shortage of action, emotion, and comedic relief in any part of the show. With characters who fight to the best of their abilities to reach their goals, all while battling their own inner conflict, the show creates relatable and lovable characters. For anyone who enjoys the action genre, especially involving the paranormal, this is an amazing anime to watch.

Demon Slayer fans are gearing up for the final episode, titled “No Matter How Many Lives,” a reference to chapters 96 and 97 of the manga. The episode follows a major cliffhanger from episode 17 of the season. It’s airing time will be February 13, at 11:15 PM JST, on Fuji TV. Immediately following at 11:00 AM EST, the episode will air on Crunchyroll, Funimation, and Hulu.

“No matter how many people you may lose, you have no choice but to go on living. No matter how devastating the blows may be.”
