Lady Eagles Advance to Bi-District Playoffs

The Lady Eagles will go into their last district game with a district record of 13-0. They will play at home tonight against Crockett at 6:00. The Lady Eagles will then move into Bi-district playoffs which will be Nov. 1 and 2.

¨I feel like this year we instantly bonded, making my last season the best one yet! We have been very successful this year so far and grown closer as the season continues. We all have special bonds that have created a great team bond and I believe we have a good shot at going far,¨ senior Makensy Isaacs said. ¨In practice we cheer for each other as if it was during a game. On and off the court we have always managed to hype each other up.  I am confident that we will always play together as a team.

District second round games started Oct. 5. Varsity Lady Eagles won 3 – 0 against the Lady Bisons of Buffalo Oct. 22.

¨I am proud of our team and the success we have had this year. Before every game, we listen to music and do our dance. During the games we have chants to encourage each other,¨ sophomore Kalli Richardson said. ¨We have a lot of trust in one another and we depend on each other on and off the court. I feel like we grow everyday and consistently put work in together¨.

In the second round of district, Fairfield played Elkhart Oct. 19 away winning 3 – 0.

¨I am confident in my team because I know we can work together and I feel like our success this season has come from being a good team,¨ sophomore Taylor Stone said. ¨We get really excited when someone makes a good play and we cheer during the games¨.

McKinna Brackens was awarded Player of the Match for Maxpreps at the Elkhart game.

¨I´m very surprised because I didn´t know I received this award,¨ junior McKinna Brackens said. ¨I feel like we have been very successful this season and I feel like we have a chance to make it far¨.
