Students Give Blood
October 8, 2020
Carter Bloodcare held a blood drive organized by the student council on September 25 in the south gym.
“It was very educational. I talked with the nurse and it was a very cool experience,” junior Gaspar Spuling said. “It was a long and scary process, but I would do it again.”
A total of 75 students and eight teachers participated in donating 66 pints of blood.
“Someone needs blood every two seconds,” teacher Katie Wade said. “One pint of blood can save up to three lives.”
Student Council, sponsored by Wade and Theresa Matthews, will host another blood drive in the spring.
